Hastings resident Catherine C. Hemberger, 82, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.
Rosary is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to St. Michael’s Catholic Church Endowment Fund. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Tuesday, August

Catherine was born December 30, 1935 in Hastings, NE to Dominic B. & Elizabeth A. (Dempewolf) Hoffman. She graduated from Roseland High School. On June 9, 1956, Catherine married Kenneth “Ken” J. Hemberger in the Assumption Catholic Church, rural Juniata. Catherine was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She was an avid Hastings Catholic Schools sports fan. She enjoyed dancing with Kenny and traveling with her family.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth “Ken” J. Hemberger and son, Kevin Hemberger.
